Students – Holiday Break & Planning On Leaving In 2021?
Can you believe it’s Christmas this week already? The end of the year may be fast approaching but the unfortunate saga of 2020 is looking to carry over to 2021. Fortunately, Rollos have remained open throughout the entire lockdown and will continue to provide support for you.
We appreciate that your academic year has most likely not gone as you may have envisioned so far. Our sympathies go out to you all, especially first year students whose first experience of university should have been a very exciting time. We are thrilled that you have returned this year despite the current environment and are making your best effort out of it.
If you have any questions regarding your property, your rent or any general concerns, then we want you to keep in touch with us. We can help answer and guide you through any letting matters.
As we are about to close over the holiday break, we would like to remind you of a couple of important pieces of information.
Our offices will be closed from 5pm on December 23rd and will reopen again at 9am on January 6th. Over the past couple of months, we have sent out an important holiday information sheet to your emails which contains our out of office service numbers. Should you encounter any issues over this time period, our tradesmen are quick to respond so you can rest assured that you won’t be left in the dark! The document also contains important information on your responsibilities as a tenant regarding looking after your property over the holiday break should it be left unoccupied. If something was to go wrong the last thing anyone wants is an unexpected charge!
It’s important to know that if you plan on ending your tenancy in 2021, we require a signed Notice to Leave from every tenant in the property. This includes signatures from tenants that intend to stay! This is required simply because to begin or alter a current lease, you need the consent of every tenant in writing for us to be able to move things forward for you. Although you should already have the Notice to Leave form with our check in pack, we have sent it out to your emails recently. If you intend to leave next year then please return the Notice to Leave as soon as possible to ensure a smooth process.
If you have not received any of the above documents in your recent emails or have misplaced them (hey, it happens!) then please get in contact with us and we’ll send you another copy.
Have an amazing festive season and enjoy your holiday (to the best you can!).
